Generative AI for Vascularized Human Liver Organs at Scale
Synopsis of project aims:
This project aims to develop an integrated regenerative platform leveraging generative AI, SLA 3D bioprinted bioreactors, and laser-printed macrofluidic single use bioreactors to cultivate functioning liver tissue in large scale. These scaffolds direct flow-mediated differentiation and maturation of hiPSCs derived liver organoids into a vascularized lobule and biosynthetic organ with hierarchical macro and microvascular networks. The specific aims are:
- Scalable Differentiation of hiPSCs into Liver Organoid Building Blocks
- Fabrication of Dynamic Bioreactors and Scaffolds for Culture of Perfusable Liver Constructs
- Multimodal Validation of Hepatic Tissue Functionality and Structure
