Generative AI for Vascularized Human Liver Organs at Scale

Synopsis of project aims:

This project aims to develop an integrated regenerative platform leveraging generative AI, SLA 3D bioprinted bioreactors, and laser-printed macrofluidic single use bioreactors to cultivate functioning liver tissue in large scale. These scaffolds direct flow-mediated differentiation and maturation of hiPSCs derived liver organoids into a vascularized lobule and biosynthetic organ with hierarchical macro and microvascular networks. The specific aims are:

  1. Scalable Differentiation of hiPSCs into Liver Organoid Building Blocks
  2. Fabrication of Dynamic Bioreactors and Scaffolds for Culture of Perfusable Liver Constructs
  3. Multimodal Validation of Hepatic Tissue Functionality and Structure
